Was Laden hindering world peace?

It is but natural for the victims of O.B.Laden to feel jubiliant. And let me also confess, I too share joy with the joyous. But with OBL’s death, will peace really reign? That is a million dollar question. One man cannot hijack world peace. Before Lord Jesus was crucified, HE promised Peace to all of His followers.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14)

Yes, I am with the jubilant people, I endorse their joy and happiness, but let us not be under the deception that peace has been restored. With Laden or without Laden, Peace reigns in the heart of all the followers of Lord Jesus Christ.

When Adolf Hitler was on rampart to annihilate the Jews and the people in general, irrespective of religion, it was reasonable to label him as enemy of the Jews. He exhibited considerable hatred towards the Jews as is evident from the history. But with his death or suicide, was world peace restored?  The world then cried “Peace, Peace”, The Jews certainly  lived life with better confidence without Hitler no doubt , but peace has been alluding everyone.

Saint Paul while writing to the Thessalonians alerts them with the following,

3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. ( I Thessalonians 5)

Let us therefore acknowledge the fact, the truth , Only Jesus can give us peace.

No Jesus, no peace,  Know Jesus, know peace.
